Natalie Miller Fellowship Brilliant Careers Leaders Conference

Weave Films' Emma Masters is one of 100 lucky women in film and television to be selected to attend the Natalie Miller Fellowship Brilliant Careers Leaders Conference.

The conference is to be held at RMIT University in Melbourne on February 24 and will conclude with a networking dinner that evening.

The Fellowship had the unenviable task of selecting the group out of more than 400 applicants.

"Words cannot describe how excited I am about the opportunity to be selected for this important conference, and to be able to connect with some incredible women in the industry," says Emma.

"It's such a fantastic chance to meet likelinded women as well as meet some influential players - to listen, to learn, to be inspired and to share.

The conference is part of the Fellowship’s 12-month Brilliant Careers Leadership Program, which is designed to encourage women from all sections of the screen industry to develop their leadership skills.

There will also be a mentorship program, which will connect each participant with a mentor for a minimum 4 x 1 hour sessions.

Posie Graeme-Evans, Deanne Weir and Sue Masters are just some of the industry leaders who have put their hand up to be mentors.

The recipients of this stage will be announed after the conference.

The Natalie Miller Fellowship is about recognising and nurturing the next generation of female leaders in the Australian screen community, and inspiring them to reach the very top of their fields.

Natalie Miller AO is a visionary leader in the Australian screen industry. She has made, and continues to make an astounding contribution to the film community through her distinguished career spanning over forty years.

Thank you to the Natalie Miller Fellowship for making this opportunity a reality and to Screen Australia for funding the program under its Brilliant Careers initiative.
