NET-WORK-PLAY ACCESS

NET-WORK-PLAY ACCESS

It's been a busy time gearing up for NET-WORK-PLAY 2015.

For those wondering what NET-WORK-PLAY is all about - here's the lowdown. The 3-day event aims to champion conventional factual content creation through digital channels and platforms. It provides a range of experts focused in differing fields of artistic creation, distribution and curatorship. Speakers and representatives hail from all corners of the globe in some of the industry's most innovative and influential organisations. It's also a time for facutal content makers to market their wares and pitch their projects to broadcasters, distributors and sales agents. Then there are the general opportunities to network, be inspired and learn from others in the industry.

NET-WORK-PLAY also offers an exclusive producers mentorship program called ACCESS and I'm excited to say I've been selected among a group of six other producers from across Australia to participate in the program. It's a privilege to be part of the shortlisted applicants who are supported to attend NET-WORK-PLAY and to be given the unique opportunity to attend exclusive mentorship sessions with some of the best in the business.

It's also a wonderful opportunity to get the inside scoop on industry customs, dynamics and trends and I'm really looking forward to meeting the following mentors for 2015:

  • Trent Chapman - Endemol Australia
  • Judith John-Story – Endemol Australia
  • Stephen Hunter – National Geographic Channels International
  • Adrian Swift - ABC Television
  • Nicole McCuaig – Network Ten
  • Roy Ackeman – Fresh One Productions
  • Elizabeth McIntyre - Discovery Networks International

I'm also looking forward to meeting the other producers who have been selected for ACCESS - they all look like talented, dynamic individuals who have been working on some great projects.
